K9 Fundamentals

A three-week beginner clicker training class for Kindergarten graduates or friendly dogs of all ages. Held sporadically throughout the year, especially during the holiday months. All positive clicker-specific training course. 

Life Stage: All ages

Required Equipment:

• 6ft Leash (Cotton or Leather recommended)
  
• Hungry dog
• Dog Treats
  
• Dog training clicker
• Non-Skid Rug

Encouraged Equipment:

• Collars/Harnesses
  • No pull harnesses
    • Walk right by Coastal harness recommended
• Flat Buckle Collar
• Slip Leash or Martingale collar
  • For mild pullers or beginning training
    
• Gentle Leaders
  • For dogs that are extremely difficult to handle
  • Works best for fat faces like Mastiffs
•  Walk N Train Head Collar
  • For dogs that are extremely difficult to handle
  • For long nose dogs like german shepards

Discouraged / Prohibited Equipment:

• Pinch Collar Discouraged
• SHOCK COLLARS PROHIBITED
• NO RETRACTABLE LEASHES
  
• Harnesses that attach on the back discouraged.
